Terre des hommes Foundation “Lausanne” in Hungary is recruiting a Training Officer for supporting the emergency response related to Ukraine crisis

Terre des hommes Foundation “Lausanne” in Hungary has been responding to the Ukrainian emergency since March 2022, providing non-food-items, creating child-friendly spaces, providing psycho-social support, and providing individual support to almost 1000 children and family members in 2022.

Tdh has also started a cooperation with SOS Children’s Villages and WarChild Netherlands, in order to learn and share different methodologies that improve the psycho-social well-being of refugees from Ukraine. Within this two-year project Tdh will train its social workers, animators and teachers in two specific methodologies, “Movement, Games, Sports and Creativity” and “Reach Now” while we will train refugees in the methodology “Problem Management Plus”. The project aims at improving the psycho-social well-being of more than 800 refugee children and parents over the course of this project. We are now looking for a training officer, who will help us organise the trainings from start to finish (location, catering, ensuring monitoring, organising the expert trainers, etc.).

Start date: as soon as possible

Contract: fixed-term 12-months contract -renewable

Gross Salary: 701 146 Ft/month

What to do

· Ensuring proper translation and contextualisation of training materials

· Preparing, organising and following-up on training activities

· Inviting and reaching out to target groups for trainings

· Keeping regular contact with partner organisations

· Ensure appropriate evaluation of training events

· Followup: ensuring mentoring and coaching of trainees

· Identifying appropriate trainers

In the framework of the WELL-U project

· Have a specific and deep understanding of the three methodologies

· Participate in the adaptation and contextualisation of the methodologies

· Work with the emergency project colleagues in identifying trainees for trainings

· Work with emergency project colleagues to identify young people for the PM+ methodology

· Ensure logistics of all training activities

· Write reports and collect evidence of training activities

· Be in regular contact with partner agencies to invite them for trainings

· Organise and do the follow up of trainings in the form of mentoring and coaching

Requirements:

Education / Qualifications: University degree in psychology or andragogy preferred

Experience: Proven work experience in a similar position is a plus, but can be a career starter

Languages: Hungarian and English proficiency, Ukrainiain or Russian is a plus

IT knowledge: M. Office (Word and Excel), Outlook
