Required experience
- 3 years of experience in the national and/or international level in community engagement, content development and editing, digital content promotion, or other relevant programmes; experience with Community Based Organisations and participatory methods is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation and editing skills for diverse social media channels;
- Experience with writing and editing digital content in English and Ukrainian;
- Strong capacity to work with individuals from different ages, genders and backgrounds;
- Ability to work with community groups and link to community centres and community organised activities;
- Demonstrable skills in content production for digital channels;
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms used by Ukrainian communities, including Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok experience is an asset;
- Experience maintaining social media channels and managing online communities;
- Ability to identify information needs of people and identify rumors and misinformation to report back to UNHCR;
- Accuracy and professionalism in producing interactive multi-media content;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel; • Solid overall digital literacy;
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
- Sound security awareness;
- Have affinity with or interest in working with refugees and volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System;
- Candidate must be a refugee or a stateless person, legally residing in the country of assignment;
- Application to these assignments is exclusively open to individuals residing in Hungary, with stateless, refugee or similar protective status, including Temporary Protection;
- Official document as a proof of refugee status is mandatory to submit. The applicant with abovementioned refugee status should submit the official document as a proof of refugee status before and/or during the interview. The applications without the respective document will not be considered for this assignment.
